Easter Eggers are a popular and colorful laying breed known for their friendly personalities and unique egg colors. They come in a wide variety of feather colors and patterns and often have muffs or beards, giving each bird a distinct appearance. Their eggs can range from blue and green to olive and occasionally pink-tinted and tan shades. Some eggs even have speckles.

Easter Egger hens typically begin laying eggs around 18–22 weeks of age with proper care and lighting. Once mature, they produce an average of 200–250 medium to large eggs per year, making them a dependable layer with the added bonus of colorful eggs.

These birds are hardy, adaptable to many climates, and generally calm, making them an excellent choice for families, backyard flocks, and mixed-breed setups. Easter Eggers do well in both free-range and managed environments and add visual interest to both the coop and egg basket.
